Dayum. Good ones. Super sharp - some might be a bit oversharpened?

That bokeh thing you mention, gusnado - could be a combo of extreme cropping and a lot of sharpening? ne_nau.gif

No-one is king of the sharpening stick more than me & i dont believe that these are sharpened too much. That lens is (from the 2564525 hours reading ive done) one of the sharpest & fastest focusing around.

You know what sharpening too much does to a shot & i cant see it happening here on the owls eyes.....it is still an odd background though all the same.

    Ow! sharp sharp sharp!

No I don't see oversharpening, but yes that's some strange bokey. I think it's probably just from the massive contrast snow makes. Do you have any idea how good you have to be to proppery meter a tiny little bird when he's backgrounded by sun-shiny snow? You have to be damn good. It looks easy but yeah, those shots are really good.

Those owl shots, especially the one that you can't take your eyes off of (and neither can I!) are awesome! Great light and clarity, and yes, definitly sharp ;-)

    Fabulous action shots! thumb.gif
