This is a very good capture of real-life as it happens so often. In addition to the fireworks in the background, I find the humor in the way in which the lady's head it tilted back. It's so common in these situations, for folk to attempt to maximize the distance between camera and face. The net result is usually an "up the nose" shot.

Fun shot! Nicely composed considering what appears to be crowded conditions. Her expression adds an element of humour to the scene. thumb.gif

    Tom.
    It's a very nice photo.iloveyou.gif
I would crop differently, like this here.
    Hope you like it.
The fire - far back there - is not important in the picture.
    For me that is.
    I hope you don't mind what I didne_nau.gif

i'm a little late on this but i absolutely LOVE this shot. Journalistic storytelling element at its finest! Love the original crop, there is nothing distracting, only interesting. the BW conversion is SUPERB! iloveyou.gif

Me too... the original is superb - the fireworks are a wonderful part of the story.... the young couple is taking their own picture with hopes of getting the fireworks in the background...
I love the flag in the distance!!

I like the original. Why was the flag half staff on this day?
