My attempt at Lanscapes

My eye insn't very sharp at catching decent lanscape shots; therefore, I tend to stay away from them lol.

But I took a country drive the other day over to Hopewell Cape, in New Brunswick. Sometimes known as Hopewell Rocks, or just "The Rocks", near the Bay of Fundy. When the tide goes out, there's huge "flower pot" dirt rocks, with trees still growing atop of them. Very beautiful. :):

Unfortunatly, the tide was in, so I couldn't get any shots of the pots (lol that rhymes). I did catch this shot. I liked how the cliff was obstruction the sun from hitting the entire water in the shot.

So here's the first shot of Hopewell...

As the sun was setting, I noticed an open field with untouched snow. It looked more like a body of water than a field of snow. :):

Thank you all for such kind comments. :):

I do like the effect of the snow as well in the second shot, but I feel like I don't know how much sky vs land I should include in the composition of lanscape shots. ne_nau.gif

I'll post bigger sizes like Michiel suggested. I resized them smaller because last time they were really too big. Now they're too small! rolleyes1.gif

    Thanks again~

You're messing with us, right? Your eye for landscapes is plenty sharp, as these images prove. And if you're a beginner at these, then we're all in trouble. Great job. Really. thumb.gif

Thank you for the kind comments David. :):

I'm new at photography, as I only got my digi cam for Christmas. I'm still learning its various features (I'm not using auto everything anymore yay! rolleyes1.gif), and I pretty much snap everything and everyone, then hope for the best! Laughing.gif

    Again, thanks for responding.

Cosmic, you are in real trouble. You've got an excellent eye for composition. But that's not why you're in trouble. You're in trouble because you are going to outgrow that camera in two months and the next thing you know, you'll be drooling over $1500 Lenses. rolleyes1.gif

Seriously nice stuff. Keep 'em coming.

Say, got a photo-sharing site yet? I've got a coupon for smugmug deal.giflol3.gif

I'm already there. :uhoh I catch myself drooling over various cameras with 10x optical zoom in front of Cal (note, we couldn't really afford this camera for xmas, but he knew I wanted one so bad). So I guess unless we win the Lotto, it'll be this one for awhile.
