I'm new to the boards, as a result of recently joining Smugmug. Looks like a great board!

Now on to the reason for the post - yesterday, I used my Canon 70-300 IS. Everything was fine. When I was finished, I noticed that I could not move it back to 70mm to lock and store it. It's stuck with about half an inch still extended.

Any ideas?

There is a "lock" button/tab that prevents the lens from sliding out when the lock is engaged. Is that unlocked? Just a thought.

unfortunately, it's unlocked.
