Saved by my dog
Some busy time have kept me away from this forum lately, and the pictures I was able to take are still unprocessed. I do have a story that I would like to share with you, though. It is a story of a baby Red-bellied WP that got lost in my yard and that my dog brought to my attention. The little bird was exhausted and hungry and the only thing I could do was taking it to the emergency Vet. My dog wanted to come with me to make sure the bird was OK. Good boy!
I believe they liked each other
The bird seemed to be OK
It didn't mind sitting on my hand
Actually it seemed very confortable
Bye bye little friend. I hope you will be OK

Thanks, Maestro. Yes, that is a wild bird, a baby Red-bellied woodpecker, lost, hungry, and exhausted. I tried to feed him/her with no success so I called the local Wildlife Sanctuary and I was told, since they were about to close, to take it to the emergency vet and they would pick it up the next morning.
