Grinning Heron

I shot several photos of this Tricolor Heron fishing for his breakfast. He looks like he is smiling in all of the shots. In this shot his face is almost cartoonish.

    Well, great capture. He indeed appear to be smiling.

    The picture seems to be over-sharpened, too saturated and too much contrast on my monitor.

    Wow! I have never seen a tricolored heron so red. Where did you shoot this?

    I shot this photo in Seabrook Texas. I have shot 3 or 4 different birds over the past week and tey all are more red than I have seen before. They appear to be young Herons. Here is another I shot the same day.UpCloseAndPersonal-6.jpg
