Circus to Palestine

New to this site and thought I would get some images up from recent projects; A few months ago I travelled to Palestine with four UK circus performers giving free shows and workshops to the children of the West Bank. Contrary to the popular impression, the West Bank is, on the whole, a peaceful olive growing country. The people I met on this incredible journey were truly inspirational in their vision of a peaceful resolution and the response from the children to the wacky circus (many had never seen such a spectacle) was wonderful.

Below are a few images from the trip, the complete series can be found at http://www.photo-g.co.uk under the projects tab.

Info on the circus can be found at http://circu2iraq.com (the Iraq bit being the first place they ventured to back in 2004).

Oh wow, these are excellent! I would love to hear more about your trip, and the interactions with the people. You have a very good eye, and these shots are truly wonderful.

Thanks for sharing, and looking forward to hearing more.

    Nice one
Cheers for your comments James, it was an incredible experience, there's some info on the site and I hope to add some more soon, perhaps in preparation for next year's trip - hoping to be able to offer shows to kids in Lebanon as well, working on that contact.
