Lightroom slideshow quality

Anyone experience quality issues with the export of RAW pics (after LR adjustments) via the LR slideshow module? I have found that unless you export first as jpegs at the quality you want, you will not see the same sharpness you have in lightroom in the slideshow via Adobe.

Thoughts? Experiences? Best practices?
