    Hi,

    I think its reached that point where I need to start getting feedback on my work. I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks

    David

    The heck with shooting rodeo's... I NEED to start shooting portraits mwink.gif

    Oh yeah, feedback: First, nice subject - Second, I'd liked to have seen her hair pulled back a little more on the left side of her face. The way her face is lit now is shadows-light-shadows. I like the overall lighting and the pose.

    That's my only nitpick. The rest is "nice"

    Looking forward to your next post!

    Thanks RWells! I see what you mean about the shadow-Face-Shadow; I might be able to fix that in PS, or lighting position (or as you suggest, having her hair pulled back more).

    THanks

    The pose and photo are both very nice, I agree with Randy about pulling her hair back to even out the light on her face, you could even go a little darker on the shadow side. Then again if you want her face to be the focal point of the picture you are going to need to crop it - lol

    Upon further review I like the hair where it is, the more i examine it i think it enhances the seductiveness of her eyes, maybe just a slight rotation of your lighting to brighten that side of her face. but even that is nitpicking.

    I like this shot. bowdown.gifbowdown.gifbowdown.gif

    1.I like the vertical shot, but how about a smirk or some emotion there.
    2.I like b&w, what about color. Not sure what the super-conservative would think, with all due respect to them. 1 or 2 wouldn't hurt.
    3.Maybe a crop without her chest.

    Everyone; Thanks for the great feedback ; I really appreciate it.

    I completely agree with the lighting. it was a little off..When we were shooting, she was moving around, and posing herself. I was just shooting when she was ready.

    I went b&w cause I was trying to emulate the 40's look. I've got a different picture of her for color, but I need to do some more color correction;

    As for a crop; ah...It works too better..Thanks!

    Thanks for the great feedback;

    The only thing I'd change is that I'd lighten her eyes a bit. They seem lost in
    the shadows and they are, after all, the most important part of the portrait.

    As much as it pains me to say this, yes, the crop without the chest is better.

    I like both pictures. Very attractive model! Others have made excellent suggestions about lighting. I have two things to suggest about the composition. First, I would include the top of her head. Second, if you're going for the 1940s look, I think she needs to change hair styles. She seems too modern in some way.

    Cheers,

    I like the portrait ok, but i agree there is NOTHING about the model that evokes the 40s. Makeup, hair, clothing (lack thereof...rolleyes1.gif)

    I like the first one betterne_nau.gif and I agree about the 40's feel.......I can see a Twiggy model in her( hardly 40's, but it reminds me of her), but the hair needs black bows.heavy eye liner etc.....if you are trying to evoke the CLassic 40's.then she needs an elegance about her that I know you could capture!thumb.gif Low cut gown, swept up hair.........headscratch.gif
