I took this back in August 2005. I already processed this two years ago, but recently I've been looking at my old photos and it just didn't look "right". I re-processed this and I really like this version.

Nice shot.
Have you tried bringing up the lower half just a hair?
When I see your shots of the sierras I get very jealous that you live so close but then I watch the weather report before work and know why I live over on the coast not in your area. Though it did get a little warm today when I passed a bank at lunch today in goleta it said 77 degrees!

I'm not sure I understand??
Yea, it gets a bit warm here! We went to Santa Cruz last Monday and it was sooooo nice!

I guess I should have reread my post. I meant have you tried bringing up the brightness of the bottom half just a bit. Do you know how to use quickmask?
Did you get some good shots from there?

Yes, I'm very familiar with masking....99% of my photos use some type of blend/mask.
As far as shots...that was shot two years ago. I just re-processed this one. I went to Yosemite June 22 and then again July 2...got a few shots!

Just wanted to make sure. I remembered how big a difference masks made to my shots.
So did you post the most recent yosemite shots yet? I usually have to wait about a month before I can look at my shots from a trip otherwise I hate all of them because they don't look like what I wanted. It takes a month at least for me to see the picture for its self.
Did you get to any of the redwoods above santa cruz?
For most people in visalia (I lived there when I was a kid) their preferred beach is pismo or avila is Santa Cruz the prefered for your area?

My wife grew up in Santa Cruz, so that's where we go. I didn't take any photos other than snapshots with the kids, though. We honeymooned at Pismo, but that's been 16 years ago.
