Don't Diss SmugMug

ya know ive been very happy with the place im taking a few courses at but today i noticed they posted a new chart to reflect how they are doing compared to other online forums.....

I dont think they gave SmugMug proper credit at all!

but i cant complain, maybe they will "fail" me or something or give me detention even!!!

Wow, that sure doesn't look right to me. If you consider that Dgrin is pretty closely tied to Smugmug, then you could check off many more sections of that chart. Hmm. Also, smugmug has RSS feeds, which they don't note. Maybe you could politely ask them to update their chart?

Have you all thought about doing a Smugmug/Dgrin newsletter/magazine? Something akin to what PBase has? I'm sure with all of the great photographers who are active in the forums, it would be easy to fill the pages.

Just as idea.

As a matter of fact, i previously contacted Bryan Peterson and has asked them to feature www.smugmug.com on their recommended sites page. I will ask him again......

I think you can safely say that whoever made up the original chart, isn't even a lurker on Dgrin!

This is insane i have never heard or seen propoganda like this.
Smugmug can make weekly pdf mag quite easily there is so much on dgrin.
Btw when there is a forum of this kind who needs a mag ?
He haven't mentioned elgent galleries which i think is important as good ISO of camera Presentation is very important which all rivals lack

Strange that they don't mention all the features of Smugmug. They do use Smugmug. At least one of the teachers from PPSOP, Danilo Piccioni, has a gallery here... http://theitalianeye.smugmug.com/
