Osprey overload... Moms, Dads and Juvies (LARGE POST)

I hope I've not created an osprey overload with this post but we had a pretty good day hitting some of the nesting sites around Rice Lake yesterday. The chicks have really grown in recent weeks and some are obviously about ready to fledge.

1. One of the younger chicks, 700mm, heavy crop


2. Mom on the nest looking for Dad to arrive with breakfast, 700mm


3. Mom upset because Dad hasn't arrived with breakfast, 1000mm


4. Mom decides to hang out in a tree until Dad decides to come home, 1000mm


5. Dad arrives with breakfast, 500mm


6. Dad on final approach, 500mm


7. Another nesting site with Mom and the 3 Juvies waiting for Dad to arrive, 400mm


8. Dad bringing home lunch, 400mm


9. Dad making a delivery, 400mm


10. The end, 400mm
