    Hi,

I think I agree with you. The shot is not flattering of the mother. I think if it could have been framed more to the left and down slightly, it would have made a better photo.

hope you don't mind my comments. :D
    C&C always welcomed.

    Cheers

    Chris

your friend looks at ease, but the mom sure doesn't-

maybe try a little longer session and see if you can get her to loosen up a bit?-

Raise your camera perspective a bit as well. You are almost level with mom and looking up at your friend - not flattering to either.

The shot is good as far as sharpness. Not sure I like the sepia tone...doesn't work in this picture (JMHO). The pair of them and the height scale is totally off.

Perhaps if the daughter were to sit on a stool and the mother behind her, maybe that would work.

Again...I like the shot...and mom and daughter look very happy. thumb.gif

Thank you Chris, i agree, i knew something was off. Her mom is in general not a very happy person, tough life she had.

Thank you Seneca. I was playing with different options. Color was out of the question due to low light inside (i need to invest into good flash), i only have internal rolleyes1.gif B&W didn't look good either. I decided go with sepia tone on this one. Oh well, i think my friend liked the picture.
