I accidently overwrote my blue-dog customization with my smile123 customization. I have restored the customization files but there are some issues that seem a lot like the ones we had when we went to IE7 (Most prevelant is the frequent but apparently random error relating to opening a gallery.)

Some expert help would be greatly appreciated.

    Bump. Come-on support staff.

I think this problem is the "slide show" problem that happened a few months ago. I frequently get an IE error that it can't open a gallery.

    Any help??

    Bump. Come-on support staff.

You've been here long enough to know that we have a dozen support her0es on duty at our help desk :D

http://www.smugmug.com/help/emailreal -- and we answer emails usually within minutes :) Don't write us now on this ... I've assigned it to one of our team. It's Barb, and she's in Idaho so it'll be in a little while (just about 6am there now). But it won't be long. Hang in there please.

Does SmugMug want to be a client-centric business or not?

No. I did not know that there were dozens of support heroes there. I have directed Operational and Crisis issues there before, but I was of the belief that Customization questions were answered here, and that's what I thought this was.

When we had the wide-spred "slide show" problem, they all seemed to get fixed here didn't they? I said that's what I beleived this was.

How is it that my question sat for 24 hours without someone saying something or perhaps forwarding it to the correct help desk? I let it sit because it wasn't exactly a Crisis and I could afford to be polite and patient for a few hours.

Hi, I'm sorry you are upset and are flaming mad. We try to make it really plain here that help comes on the forum at a bit different pace than at our help desk. Our help desk and our support heroes answer emails really fast! I'm sorry we missed your posting (it can happen). But we don't miss help mails on the help desk :) I've alerted Barb and your customizing issue will be sorted out, I promise.

In the future, please, when you have an emergency or urgent situation like this, write the help desk. (It's all good, larglylivin - - I'm guessing you missed my smilie in my last post :D )

PS: Of course we are client-centric - that's why we do have a team of support heroes working 365 days a year, nights, weekends, nearly round-the-clock - at the ready.

We'll try to figure out a way to make this more obvious on Dgrin, so that it doesn't happen again.

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Hi,

Can you check now and see if the errors are gone? I fixed the slideshow code in your footer along with a couple of other small issues.

    Hi Brad,

I've just visited your site. The code seemed to be okay. I've replaced the Slideshow JavaScript code with a newer version though.

There was some incomplete other code in the JS section, maybe something that happened when copying. I had to remove that as well.

I removed some code that was within the div for the Slideshow. The code that was in there is already created by the Slideshow itself, and should not be entered manually.

You also had a script-closing tag too many in your footer. I removed that. I think that the IE problem should be fixed at this time.

Can you check and confirm, please?
