I already posted this in the challenge thread but.... thought I would start this one for comments. I love comments good or bad. If you think it sucks ....tell me :thumb

The word Evergreen says to me that it will forever be a predominate color.

Taken on 2-10-05 with my 717 with frozen hands.:D

    Tim-
I like this a lot. I like the depth in the foreground that allows you to see the detail of the snow and brown at the base of the needles (sorry, don't know my plant anatomy for a better descriptor). :D
Maybe give a little more saturation to the green? A very very little bit, so as not to go beyond that "evergreen" color and land on kermit green.

    Nice work!

Here is a bit of saturation added. Too much? Not enough?

    Thanks!

I prefer the subtle colors of the first one. These pictures are so tough with shallow DOF of macro photography. I find this shot pleasing but just a little too soft.

At first I was struck by the impact of this picture. Very nice. Looking closer I agree the focus is a little soft, especially for a macro. As far as color, I prefer the 1st - it seems more natural.

Thanks for the help. I will try and do better next time....it was a bit windy that day so it must have moved a bit and it was cloudy so I was unable to get the shutter speed I wanted.

    Thanks!
