Sunshine on my shoulders groups

This was a first for me, and I am not completely satisfied. WE did manage to have a little fun with it in the end.

2. Tomboys with a bit of attitude....I am sick about the hardshadow on the face second from back....middle. I have to learn to "see" better in a crowd like this.

Love the first shot, not too crazy about the rest. I think they look somewhat toooooo far away, but very good setting and poses are fun!!

I want to try the same high viewpoint shots, maybe with a smaller group of just the seniors. I will be able to tighten the shot up better with a smaller group. I was about 12 feet in the air using my 28-75mm. Much lower and I couldn't see all the faces. Another experiment to learn from.

I also really like the first photo. The balance seem almost too tight - like they are lacking context maybe?

shoot into the sun, fill flash. All that open shadow and backlight will make each one POP. Tighten up the fun group shot a bit...make each girl's pose perfect...like an album cover...BAM. You're on the right track for sure.
