    Jan,

They look very good. I particularly like #2 - nice! Not so sure about the angle in #7.

Overall I think you did a great job. Well done
    C&C always welcomed.

    Cheers

You know, I was wondering if #1 was flipping you the bird! Tough shoot, at least you did get several good shots. The 2 year old looked kinda hateful. I guess you really earned you money on that shoot, were you thinking," do I still want to do this?"

I couldn't tell that you PS'd the last shot until I read the description and then I really had to look after that. Not bad.

Wow, you have more patience than I! rolleyes1.gif

For the last shot, the 2-year-old's elbow needs to be blended more into the background. And the hand "ghosting away" behind the baby's head could be filled in a bit more. Otherwise, superb job! clap.gif

#1 cracked me up. Thanks for the laugh early in the a.m. :D

Thanks for the suggestions. Actually the 2-year-old's elbow isn't edited at all--his elbow really WAS on the cushion like that. Actually both boys were on the cushion at the same time, but the baby was about a foot lower and the little boy wouldn't get closer, so I moved him up courtesy of Photoshop. Laughing.gif I'll work on that hair/hand intersection.

Great shots Jan!!... i'm curious what you did for set up on these.. eg. lighting, back ground etc. i really like the effect of the black back drop and lovely light on the face and eyes... great job!

You will laugh at me. Laughing.gif Lighting--100% natural...no fill flash; no reflector. Backdrop: none. He was in the doorway of a basement in an old barn for them, so the lighting is similar to garage lighting, except the background turns all black when you bump up contrast & levels a tad.

    Here's one of the doorways:

On this one, I didn't change the levels at all so the background is still fairly light. But, with a slight adjustment in levels (move far left slider to the right a tad), the background turns almost completely black. I would probably have to burn that post out a little bit and maybe that rock on the floor in the back.

Here's the other door I use:

And these were in the basement garage of the barn (garage lighting):

It is my opinion that you just can't do much better than God-given light. However, obviously God isn't offering mild weather and daylight 100% of the time, and in those times we need lights. Laughing.gif
