1000mm Mourning Doves in the evening light

I took these images as the sun was setting this evening. Yes, from my deck. :biggrin: I hadn't had my camera out since Wednesday morning and I was getting withdrawal symptoms.

1D MkIIn, 500 f/4L IS plus 2xTC, ISO1000, f/8, 1/125 - 1/320 sec.









I think this next image might be a juvenile...

Thats pretty damned good going there...really it is. I wouldnt have expected a result as good as that.

Thanks, Gus. Walt has already requested that with stacked converters. It seems the clouds have moved in whenever I had the time to do that. I'll try to give it a shot at the first opportunity.
