US Surfing Open, Huntington Beach
Scott "f00sion" and me spent this morning shooting US Open Surfing championship in Huntington Beach, CA. There was surfing, skating and of course, beach volleyball:-)
Meet Scott:
Some serious glass on the beach:
While guys were practicing
Girls were competing
And scoring
Soul Bowl featured some mean skaters
and FMX bikers guys
While girls had fan in the sand
The rest is here: http://nik.smugmug.com/gallery/3222821
Thanks for looking!

Totally, it's a new face of US Open, but you knew that:-)
Thanks, partner, it was nice to get out and shoot something different from a barbed wire for a change!
Thanks, appreciate it!
Thank you!
For the most of the surf shots it's been EF 100-400 f4-5.6 IS, some mid-range ones are with EF-S 17-55 f/2.8, part of the Soul Bowl and Volleyball are with EF 70-200 /f2.8 IS and few wide Volleyball shots are with EF-S 10-22. I was using two 30D bodies. I also carried a tripod, but didn't use it much except for resting 100-400 on it:-)

thank you, my friend, always nice to hear this from you!
Thank you, dear!
I was hoping to get some inspiration, but then I looked at Scott's photos and realized that I still got long ways to go...
