I posted a picture similar to the first one here earlier this week. Problem there was that I had 13 girls. Here I have only the 8 seniors, so I think it works a little better. One thing for sure.....large groups I certainly have trouble with.

your conversions seem to be missing something...what conversion method are you using? is there any reason for converting them in the first place? i bet some of these look great in color.
My equiment: Nikon D50, Nikon D300, SB-600, 30mm 1.4, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 70-200mm 2.8

The color shots were fine, but they print the program in black and white. These were the conversions for that. I normally would add in some warmth to the BW conversions, and I have a process that works pretty well for that. I normally convert using LAB mode/ colorspace on Adobe PSCS

The first shot in particular looks a little over processed to me-- there's something not 'right' about the tonal values especially around their feet and the skin looks soft-- like maybe you used the blur tool for softening? Just my opinion, but back off on the post processing just a bit and these would definitely be winners!
