Question concerning Canon printer

In December I downloaded profiles for all the Canon and Red River papers I used and printed my pictures with excellent results. Then I printed some more in May and the results were poor. The only difference I can think of, between the two times is that the second time I was using CS3 vs CS2 and calibrated with eye-one display 2 rather than the one built in Mac. Now when the printer dialog box is up Quality Media, Color Options, Special Effects, Borderless Prints, and Duplex Print are all crossed out on the drop down list. If I select it a box comes up saying 'This panel is not compatible with your computer. Contact the printer manufactorer for the latest version of your printer software.' I went to the Canon site and it said there were no new downloads for the Pixma iP 6600D. Has this ever happen to anyone or does anyone have an idea what the problem could be? Does it maybe have to do with setting for PS since I upgraded to CS3? If no one knows what it could be I could try to reinstall the printer software but that is all I can think of to try.

Thanks,

Linda

Does anyone have even a guess as to what the problem is? My cousin died last March and her husband wants to give the son a picture of him and his mom for Birthday. The only picture they had was with the whole family so they want me to make it just the two of them, crop, etc. to make it look nice. If I have to I'll bring it to a kiosk at the drug store but when my printer was working it did a better job. I really would like it to look as nice as possible. He needs it by tonight.

Only thing I can suggest would be to uninstall the printer, driver and software, then renistall.

Seems something in the driver may be corrupted "stuck" affecting your print dialog box.

Sorry, only thin I can think of that might help.

Linda - glad to hear you got this taken care of and sorry about the loss of your cousin.

FYI, in a pinch you should try going to a Sam's club for prints. Small prints get done pretty quickly and look decent & there's an even better deal for large prints: My Sam's has an Epson 9800 (!) and will print you a 30x40" for something insanely cheap, like $11.
