What an awesome set! Kudos for turning a redneck boozefest into a work of art. Heh, I'm a redneck hoosier too so I can say that.
I love them all, you did an amazing job on the colours and keeping the sky in check. #3 is my absolute fave. Which ones made it into IDS?
#3 and #5 and the one of the guy jumping on his car (since he won and all).
Booze wasn't allowed in the pit, but I'm curious how much moonshine was in the trailers.
Everyone was really nice, they let me shoot from wherever I wanted just as long as I was careful.
I was worried about some of the colors, cause I had to switch to jpeg when my card started getting full. I wasn't even officially on assignment. I was just practicing.
I was mad when I realized that the one of the guy with the green flag in the air, I cut off his foot
Gotta love redneck fun. I saw the Jiffy Treat ad on one car and got hungry for a Sloppy Joe Cheeseburger. I'm from Ellettsville myself, but live in Iowa now. So I've had many meals there as a kid. I'm betting half my high school classmates were there at the derby. Ellettsville is the redneck part of Monroe county.

You mean to tell me only PART of this county is redneck?

Only by comparison to some of the more southern counties. Try venturing out to Lawrence county and you'll be happy you made it out without hearing the banjos and squealing pigs.

geez, I live inside 465 so that makes me a socialite! Seriously, for an international board there are a LOT of people living in or originally from Indiana. It's really interesting!

Well, it's not THAT surprising, there IS more than corn in Indiana
Well I don't know about Lawrence County having the market on rednecks. Come on down to Posey County and we'll show you things like cornfield skiing and the likes! Cornfeds know how to have fun.
Your shots are great. You did a wonderful job of covering this event. You have shown the drama and excitement in your shots. The welder shot is intense. Good work.
