Vintage Motocross Racers

This past weekend the AMA held its Vintage Days at Mid Ohio which included vintage motocross racing stars and bikes from the 60's 70's and 80's.

A late 70's Honda. Actually 2 of them.

    A mid 70's German Maico. Maico, CZ and Bultaco all went out of business by the early 80's.

    Marty Tripes who won the first ever Supercross race at the LA Coliseum at 16 years of age in 1973.

    Donnie Hansen, 1982 Supercross and 250 National Champ.

    Rick Johnson, multi time 250 and 500 National Champ in the 80's.

    Gary Jones, 3 time 250 National Champ from the early 70's.

    Jimmy Weinert 500 National Champ from the 70's.

    John DeSoto, late 60's and early 70's top ranked pro nick named the Flying Hawian.
