Cinnamon and Matches

I was playing around today doing my own little light box with white card stock... plus my own makeshift diffusers on the first image.
The cardstock was a little too think since I was using lights and not flashes on the sides... poor man's photography. So for the matches and the last image I moved the card stock out of the way and just let the lights on either side do their job, plus the over head.
All taken with my new Sigma 105 Macro

I like these shots Christina
Although the white cardboard is not white in the first two images.
I see almost a peach colour, in both those shots, more on the warm side.
Hopefully someone will be able to give you some advice on how to
get a white background to be white.
Your doing a great job with the actual shots .... Skippy

That is here, right?
I love the sharpness of the matches and the cinnamon. I never would have thought to photograph these types of things. Keep 'em coming with the macros!

Thanks for the link Schmooo :ivar
Somedays I just can't get out to shoot, so I make my own shots... crazy I know. If anyone can find me a new body... only slightly used and in good shape (and no I'm not talking a camera body.) I had just finished sitting up the lighting and saw I left the cinnamon out from b'fast... thought it was pretty stupid til I took my first shot. I'll never look at spices the same way again.

Thanks Skippy! Actually part of it was the lighting I used.. the bulds are giving off a warmer light... more in a yellow range. Still not sure it should have been so peach. I'll have to try the tips on the link Schmooo posted. YAY!
