Hi everyone! What a great site I have found here. I just recently got settled in by adding my little tidbits on the support section for new people. I thought I might as well stop hiding behind the fear of being critiqued and start showing the things I am proud of.
Even though I feel this is some of my best work, I know there are others out there who actually know what they're doing and will tell me what I can do to better my portraits, and I am so welcome to that.
Here goes nothing!
I know the res. isn't very good, but I formatted them to JPG so I could upload smaller pics to a server.
Hope you enjoy!

I'm really diggin' the first two shots. These are great.
Not too sure about #3.
#4 - were face just a bit more in focus and if you hadn't cropped part of her eye, this would have been a winner.
So, get a SmugMug account and post to just about whatever size you want. Lots of people around here will be willing to offer up a $5 off your first year's subscription coupon just for the asking (here's one from me: QmOztPVQWoqq6). Anyway, check out SmugMug.com and see what you think! I think you'll love it.

Again....photography is yet another art form..and now with all the software tools there is certainly a trend to process shots as different as possible from the next photographer. In one way, they are nice as a change of pace once in a while but the trend seems to be heading to the norm. The first two are processed to where so much of her beauty and skin tones are simply lost. The highlights on her left cheek are blown. Of course this works if that's what you want...anything is game if you like it unless a client is involved.
All these are very soft focused and again, it may be part of the processing procedure. They are nice as a "different type look". Guess I'm having a hard time with all the deviations of Lightroom presets and strange colors coming out of processing (prolly my resistance to change..).
Anyway...welcome...keep shooting and posting! We love photographs here in case you couldn't tell.
