new sp
On Sunday, I upgraded to a pro account and decided my site should have a guestbook/bio page. Even after taking sp's every day for 3 1/2 months, I didn't have a shot I thought would work for that new page, so yesterday I set out to take one! (I was also inspired by Cuties02q's beautiful shots to give it another go!) I'm nervous about sharing this because I actually like it, but here goes! And C&C IS still welcome!

My only thought is to crop it closer, but I may be off.... Just the tiny bit of arm in the lower left is a *tiny* bit distracting, but honestly - that's just being super critical....
This is wonderful, Elaine! How did you do the lighting? It's gorgeous.

How 'bout this slightly closer crop?
By the way...the lighting is all natural, afternoon light in my living room.

I just love the blue and orange color scheme, your natural, warm smile, amazing eyes, just everything about it. WELL DONE!!!
I am so jealous!

Thanks, Lynne! Any preferences on crop 1 versus crop 2?

I don't really have an opinion either way.
(and no, aliens have not abducted and replaced me with a droid).

I love this shot and crop #2 is better than #1.
BTW - You do look fantastice. This image supports and image of you being very warm and approachable. Also, I like naturally high hairlines (I guess that's good as my hairline is getting higher all the time) and the perspective of this photo tends to emphasize this. Was that intentional?

Thanks, Scott! No, I can't say it was intentional, but it was a concern of mine! I kept asking my husband if this perspective gave me too much forehead! Hah! I've had long hair without bangs for sooo many years that I'm used to seeing myself like this to a certain extent...I guess I can say it's part of my round-faced Scandinavian heritage. Anyway, I hope it doesn't come off as a distorted perspecitve issue!
