Went to the mountains this weekend, got home late, too tired to process pics until this morning. Just wanted to share this one. It was very grey and overcast. I kinda like the lonely mood you get from a gloomy day

Thanks, Dee...
It rained where we were staying, so that wasn't too much fun, but we drove up to snow level and it was much more fun (at least for Evan, !). The road going up to the ski/snow play area was closed when we first arrived, so we had to spend about 45 minutes sitting on the side of the road. Bill and Evan made a snowman while I tried taking some pics (I'll post some more later...still trying to shake off the sleep deprivation and get the pics processed.) Stay tuned

Im going to have a lot of catching up to do.
Too bad, Gus!!! That was an awesome photo (hope you didn't get stung!). Sure fit the theme for this one, but of course we gotta stick to the *rules* as far as dates and times go (sigh). I'm not that good at getting things done on time, unfortunately...but I do try, ! Are you just now processing pics from December (like I can talk, ! You should see my back log...)
Well, we do our best
Cheers!

I don't know if I'll catch you drooling over too many of my pics from this weekend, but I'm working on getting some more processed. I'll post the better ones as soon as I can (be prepared, though...many of them involve my grandson being the main subject, so it's not all artsy stuff, !). I'll probably post the link to the specific gallery rather than post all the pics here, then if folks want to take a look they can and not be overwhelmed by pics of my cute grandkid, !
Thanks,
~Nee :
ps. we have a thunderstorm coming...the clouds are great outside, so I'm gonna have to put off processing pics from the weekend so I can get out and take some new ones! Sorry...I'll be back later!

Sorry Gus! I forgot that you are without a camera. That's the total pits!!! (and I thought I was going bonkers waiting to get a new dslr...sheesh!!! Forgive my rants...you have all the reason to complain and then some!
Your photo of this little green spider is awesome! Wish I could take stuff like this...(now I'm feeling jealous, !). You have such interesting flora and fauna where you live! Sorry you got stung by that stinging tree! I supposed there are much worse things there, so at least you didn't lose a limb or anything.
What part of the continent are you on? My husband has actually been to Sydney a few times (during his time in the Navy). Said it was awesome...he'd love to live there!
Keep posting...we wouldn't want you to go completely off the deep end before you get your new camera! BTW...which way are you leaning now that the new Canon is out? Something else to stir up the pot, eh? :help
Hang in there,

OK, you want green...you got it, !
Here's a couple I took on a country road the other day during a break in the weather~
and a rainbow, too!
finally, the sky convinced me it was time to head for home, ! (these clouds produced golf ball sized hail in some areas not far from our home!)
Cheers!

Thanks, Kelly! I didn't think anyone else was following this thread anymore besides me and Humungus, ! Nice to know you noticed...and thanks for your even more delightful compliment! I'm a fan of your photos, too! I think you have a lot of talent and cutting edge creativity. I'm old school I guess, but I do appreciate new talent...and you've got it!
Cheers!

ps. And I kinda wish we actually had snow, ! I love snowscapes...they have such an otherworldly feel to them (but I could do without the cold, !)
Btw...we went to the mountains to play in the snow this past weekend. Here's a pic of my grandson cutting up when we were there (and probably the closest you'll ever see me get to cutting edge, !)

Cheers!

How long before your new *baby* arrives? Hope you got some mega memory, too...RAW is gonna eat up some serious space on you CF cards and your computer!
The wait is almost over...hooray for you!!!
