Earlier this July I spent a couple days in Kruger National Park, South Africa, and got these pics that I'd like to share. Some pictures have light reflection because I was on a tour bus so I had to shoot through tinted window and front windshield. The first day, July 4, rained on and off. The weather the next day was much better.

Nice variety of critters. You are so lucky to have seen a leopard, with a kill none the less! I like your shot of the elephant by the tree and the Rhino. I understand shooting from a bus is tough, it is difficult to position yourself to manage the backgrounds. Good job with the opportunity though.

Actually those bats weren't in any cave. They hang under the roof of a pavilion in a rest camp with people having lunch underneath them.

Shane, thank you for the compliment.

Sirsloop, it was a great experience trying to shoot (photographically that is) the big 5. The rain on the first day brings out the colors in the landscape, but the rain spots on the bus window really softened the picture.

Nice series, in spite of the disadvantage of the bus windows. I would have rather suggested hiring a car for this kind of trip. Here are some pics from my trip to Kruger in mid-June:

You can see the advantage of not being tied to the tour bus!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
