Is it because I didn't log out that I am not receiving messages to tell me I had a purchase or seeing it in the control panel?

Don,

Only for-profit orders will show up in your pro sales report. And, you'll only receive a pro sale email when an order is placed for profit.

An at-cost sale, such as one you place as a logged-in account owner, won't be tracked with your pro sales.

I realized how ignorant my question was after I asked it. Wasn't thinking about markup and so forth. About two minutes after I posted it I felt like a moron for asking.
