I got this National Geographics Edition of the Bogen-Manfrotto 4-section Magfiber (carbon fiber tubes, magnesium alloy locks) legs brand new about 12 months ago.
It has seen a light usage in the surrounding hills and a few events, but otherwise is good as new.
B&H sells this edition for $398+tax+s/h, this baby can be yours for only (EDIT: final price drop) $299 shipped and paypalled.

Here are few pics taken when I first got it
(shown with Acratech Ultimate Ballhead V2 and 30D body with the grip)
It's taller than me when fully extended, and I'm 6'2"
Yet it can go totally low

This time - with 30D body and 70-200L f/2.8 IS
01: Central column can be reversed:
02: In order to get really close to the ground:
03: As a rather unique feature, central column can also be positioned parallel to the ground.:
Cheers,
Thanks, Richard!
Indeed, larger part of central colum can be easily removed, as visible here:
Feet pads are also removable (recommended for hikes)
OK, I'm having serious doubts if I shall part with this fine piece of equipment. I dropped the price to $299. This is a $100 off what it sells for, more if you consider tax and s/h. If it doesn't go at this price, I'm keeping it.

Dear Nik,
How is everything? Can this tripod fit inside a suitcase? If so, I'll take it for the shootout.

I guess it depends on the suitcase:-)
Folded length is 21.3" (54.1 cm) (w/o the head, naturally)
