I know there are already a couple of shots of this little guy floating around here somewhere, his dad is wannabe1979 (Larry) and I am his uncle so there will probably be a few more. I am posting this shot to hopefully get some c/c because I'm not to sure about the pp, I have looked at it for too long! Any suggestions you might have would be appreciated. Thanks! :D

Those eyes are fantastic! I have two under-3 nephews who are a STRUGGLE to capture. It seems that the image isn't as sharp as it should be. Colours are a little off, and those fabulous eyes need a little bit more pop.

    Good shot, though! thumb.gif

I addition to the above, his face is under-exposed. This was a tough one for the camera to get, what with the bright highlight just to the child's right side. That had to have confused the camera quite a bit. Boost the exposure about 1/2 stop, lower the saturation, and correct the strong orange cast to his skin and I think you'll have a winner!

What a cute little boy with those big eyes!! Yep, he does look orange, and i don't think it's a saturation issue, just need to adjust color cast. Let us see his picture after corrections! :D

Well there SHOULD be lots of photos of that little guy around here--he's ADORABLE! I agree, his skin color is off, but I think it will be a nice shot once fixed up !

    Shane....
He's adorable but the processing is out of control rolleyes1.gif. Ok, for the heck of it, I thought to bring it into Photoshop and mess around (hope you don't mind). I can only presume you shot this in JPeg as it looks like it. If you look closely, his left eye is purple and right eye blue...unless God gave him two different eye colors, this may not do his photo justice.

The orange (yellow/red combo) makes him looked nuked...so, I did some work for you, albeit the original file would be way better to work with making for cleaner results. In anycase...when you focus...spot focus on the eyes....if you use a wide aperature, say f/2, then if there is a head turn you may lose part of the focus on the deep side of the face/hair/eye, etc. This shot looks a bit soft on the focus end but I did some selective sharpening. Also worked on the eyes for a bit more clarity and pop.....sorry, coffee cup #3 now and I'm rambling...Laughing.gif.

Thanks all! I will definitely re-work it and post the results. The image was shot in jpeg, My only camera right now is a Sony H5 and it doesn't have raw capability. I have been playing around in PS for a couple of years, but I have mostly messed with the graphic art side of things and it's been a challenge for me to work with photos without the intent of just making them look crazy. rolleyes1.gif I really appreciate all the feedback!
