Went to see the Sunrise this morning and tried a couple of ideas that have been in my head. Thoughts?

what a great morning YOU had! I prefer the second, because of the dark foreground in the first. Since the solid sillouette's legs are cut off, I find myself looking for some detail in the shadow. Maybe straighten the horizon in 2?

To the first one I would have shot from a lower angle so as to get more leg, or even the feet, in the shot, and perhaps to have put the head of the runner in the colorful sky....

Second is interesting, but I agree with Tessa, surely straighten the horizon!

    Joe,

    #2 needs a flat ocena.

I also feel a slight lightening of the grass and some blending on the golf club would add strength to my preferred image.
