Our group had a semi monthly outing here today. Morning was nice but got hot in the afternoon. So the big cats stayed away and slept in the shades.
All shot with a bigma.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Hey thanks all,
my personal feeling is that animal shots are no diff than people portraits.
In zoos, the backgrounds is cluttered and doesn't add to the shots, so I prefer to use the bigma and get in tight to clean up the composition.

Wise choice. If the background screws up the shot, get in close and make it interesting. You did not fail there! thumb.gif

Hey Tom, these are really nice. Spearmint Rhino is superb for me... one small correction, I think you were using the 70-200 f/4L for #2 and #3. :D

Oh, yeah, I think I borrowed your lens for that. Oh well, I don't think it the lens would have made much, if any, difference.
Metering and lighting was harsh. Normally I use Canon DPP but this time I processed my shots in DPP, LR, and RSP and cherry picked the best one.
Spearmint Rhino was processed in LR, which is unusal for me.
