Most recent image URL?

Is there a way to have a gallery provide a "most recent image" url--one that would be the same over time but would point to different images as images were added to a gallery?

What I am trying to do is make a low maintenance "picture of the week" feature on my web page--I'd love to not have to change the code every week--would likde to just upload images.

Thoughts?

I don't know how to grab the most recent image (other than the RSS feeds, but I don't think that's in the sequence you want). This isn't quite what you are asking for, but would a random image from a gallery help? That's what I use on my Kaleidoscope page - http://denise.smugmug.com/gallery/2659217, which I use to highlight recent galleries.

This would be really nice. Something even better would be something like:
renstar.smugmug.com/recent/n where n is the nth most recent (maybe maxed at 10?). A key to this would be the ability to get at all sizes, so renstar.smugmug.com/recent/n/thmb.jpg, etc..

Just continuing on with someone elses idea.

After looking at the wiki link, perhaps a better structure would be:
http://.smugmug.com/photos/latest.mg?Size=150x150&N=n or something like that
