Gallery URLs change after changes?

I made a new gallery, and posted the gallery link in a forum (via the "share" button). The next day I made a few changes, deleted a couple pictures and added a couple. The problem came the next day when I went to the forum, and clicked my own gallery link. It said it was a new gallery and had no pictures!

So I checked. The gallery still was there, but when I went to check the "share" URL, it was different.

Is this standard procedure? Seems to me a gallery should stay at a set URL, regardless of future changes.

    I have already replaced the old one (in the forum I posted), so I don't have a copy of the URL, but I can say it had a different set of numbers (the last set after the /).

    Links or not, should gallery URL's change if something is modified within the gallery?

    No, they do not. The gallery links stay the same :)

    They don't change.

    Well, it's good to know the URL's are not supposed to change. I couldn't imagine why they would, but I have seen photo sites where you made "sets" of photos, not really dynamic albums. I can say though, that the link DID change, obviously some sort of kink somewhere, and since I corrected it without copying the old URL, it will stay a mystery.

    Why is your link (to my gallery) a bit different than the link I provided? My link has "/1/181031587" tacked on to the end. I just checked, and when I "share" the album, it gives the link I provided. What is the purpose of those numbers?
