Dear DGriners
Hope these six will be interesting to you.
One of the main tricks while taking portraits at such places - to choose the right point of shooting and to ... to sacrifice a horse... (oh!)

1 For those who are tired of my ladie's portraits :-)

2 Though Anna is so young, she's a good rider

3 Sometimes siting on a horse is a nice chance to pose for a photographer Yuri

4 Something in a way she looks..
5238.jpg
5 BTW this young lady got the First prize
5215.jpg
6 hope you'll like this one - always a headache all these white dresses...

How do you find these portraits?
Your thoughts, please.
Spasibo,
Yuri

They are all beautiful, but the last picture of the lady and the horse is simply stunning. I really like the interaction between the horse and the camera in that one. Your highlight detail seems to be in place, so I don't know what you were complaining about.:D

    Yuri,

I never get tired of looking at your portraits! The last one here is my favorite, however, because you can see her on the horse. I think in portraits, horses can be a very good prop. Even with the younger girl in the hat, it is obvious she is an equiestrienne but not seeing the animal in context makes me sad.

The perky blond is my second choice.....As for the guy, it is a really good portrait, he just looks like he had a bad horse day... I have a horse and have had a few of thoes myself. gta

    Yuri:

Another nice set. I like them all-- the first one of the guy smoking is great, so is that last one, and the photos in the middle. It's always fun to see the world through your eyes. Thanks for sharing.

    Agree with you, schmooo!
But sometimes you must decide: to show more of a face (details) or to show a horse.
I try to make different photos. But people's faces are much more interesting to me then ...
