Not really up on mites but think the first series are just red spider mites which I think should be smaller and less furry than velvet mites.
The 2nd bug is capsid/myrid bug nymph (ie a plant bug nymph)- quite cute when they are nymphs
Like the last shot- a mossie ? - what did you do to it ?

Hi Jody, those little Red Mites are quite intriguing.
I have seen people post shots of them on several sites,
but can't say I have actually ever seen them in real life.
I can see hey they could eaily be mistaken for some kind of Tic.
The little Nymph is a nice looking little fella, I like his colouring too.
Not sure what you've done to the last shot, except that it looks a little
like you may have added frost/blur to it ???
Excellent Series Jody thanks for sharing ..... Skippy

:skippy Everyone has the right to be stupid, but some people just abuse the privilege :dgrin
I have shot spider mites, too. But mine have never turned out anywhere as nice as yours.
Fantastic work as always.
