I heard a lot of good things about this adapter, has anyone had experience with it? I was planning on putting it on my Nikkor 70-200 VR Lense. I know it won't give me true 1:1 macro ability but I just want to use it to shoot close up of flowers and insects, not closeups of their eyes... what do you think?

You might also look at the Kenko extension tubes. I think these might be a better solution.

Take a look at "Close-up Photography in Nature" by Tim Fitzharris. I saw several recommendations for it & went ahead and bought the book. He has several examples using both extension tubes, and the 500D close-up lens. Both seemed to work quite well & I will likely add both to my kit eventually.
