Here's a shot of a spectacular sunset from Georgian Bay in 2003. Everyone must have been taking pics of it, because the local marina had postcards for sale the next spring!

And now the surprise. Look at that tree in the lower left of the frame.

Here's a crop ...

I swear, no PP tricks! I never noticed it on the 4x6 print from the lab. Not until I was going over the scan painstakingly removing the dust specs did I notice something unusual. [Yes, this is a scan from a film neg]

That is wild, Bill. They say Santa Claus sees everything we do. But I know Santa Claus, and that is NOT Santa Claus. :uhoh

Just look at the icecubes in liquor ads. You'll see bunches of faces. They're not hard to find in complicated patterns. There used to be a conspiracy theory about it - subliminal messages or some such silliness.

    After some processing at JPL...
We've got the answer. The supercomputer only took a few seconds on this one. Not all that surprising, really. And nothing supernatural either. Running a campaign on environmental issues, his campaign workers cunningly placed his mug in the most appropriate places to get the issues across to the voters.

Nope. I was standing on the shore, all by myself.
