Shoot for Student Magazine

Did a shoot yesterday for a student magazine.
My first paid shoot ever might I add.
The article features 2 students who were selected from around 800 to work for a very prestigious company once they've graduated university.

Their intent is to use 1 photo from the shoot for the article, so here is a sample of the selection I have given them.
Looking back there are a few things I'd have changed, but overall I'm happy with the outcome and so was the client.
Minimal post-processing involved.

Cheers.

    Nice job!
#2 & #4 look like just the ticket for the magazine. All are nice, good poses and comps but I personally like these two in particular. Way to shoot!

I love 2 and 4. Just the ticket - slang - it looks like just what they would want, your ticket in.

Yeah not bad at all, pretty good foreground lighting as well.

What were you using to light your subjects?

I am not crazy about the distortion in number 3(leaning column to the right) or her feet missing in 5, but I think the rest are very good. I also like the lighting. Overall, good job.

I agree that the distortion in 3 doesnt look great, but I dont see how her feet are missing in 5.

Not sure what opportunity these students have been given but it looks to me you did an excellent job at capturing their entrepreneurial spirit - especially in #4 and #5. I can definitely see these shots gracing the pages of magazines like Business 2.0 and Inc.

Congratulations of your first paid shoot and keep up the great work!

    Thank you.

They've been chosen out of around 800 students (according to them) who applied to work for McKinsey once they graduate. Apparently a phenomemal opportunity and incredibly well paid as well.

Funnilly enough, my favourite probably of the lot I neglected to actually post.
It was a toss up between #4 and this one.
This photo was the original and only image I had thought of prior to the shoot.
Almost a "Sky's the limit" concept.

I like the angle better in #4 IMHO. The last one you posted looks pretty good too but I kept looking up their nose... ne_nau.gif
