Sample images for focus problems
Here is the EF 50mm
The 28-135mm IS
And sadly, my 70-200 f2.8 L
At this point, I have no idea what to do. I have always been disappointed with my 70-200, but I figured it was me. After a year of use, it still yeilds the same irratic results. So I suspected the Body. Looks like its the lens.
What do you guys think, and what can I do?

Also, does the lens have IS? If so, try sampling with IS on and off.
Is the lens seating properly/completely on the camera body?
Not what I would expect from an L series lens......good luck!

That was my first thought. My second thought is ok, with this test it appears to be back-focusing 2mm. Does that make any visible difference in real-world shooting? This is where IMHO doing these kinds of test can make you unhappy with a perfectly good lens--I would give even odds Canon will say it's within spec.
