Dragonfly attempts

The local park that I do my birding at is removing some invasive plants which has scared most of the birds away. There I was with my 300mm, f2.8 and decided to take some telephoto macro shots handheld.:rolleyes These were the only things flying!

    good captures!! clap.gif love the color on the 1st, eys on #2 & number #3 looks dramatic to me.

    Those are neat! I really like the first one, with the bright colors. The third one is very nice too, although it might look a little better with the spiderweb strings cloned out.

    Very nice! I like the first one the most! The red coloration of the dragon fly combined with the smooth green bokeh really makes a nice contrast.

    Those are awesome shots. I dig them all. But the first one just seems to click more for me. Maybe since red and green are complimentary colors, or maybe it is just the composition I like. Either way, great work.

    I think your attempt was successful. Add some tubes to that 300mm and you can get even closer shots.

    I've never used extension tubes. Could I put these on a big lens like the 300mm, f2.8? What would they do for me??
