where in the westchester / putnam area of NY is best place to catch sunrise with minimal distractions.

    How about the boardwalk ar Rye Playland?

    Rye is good if you can get in early. You might want to try Mamaroneck, too.

    Else, try from the top of Breakneck Ridge (Putnam / Dutchess border along the Hudson River) if you like to hike.
