I have a friend who offered me $2500 for my 1Ds and I've been thinking about it since I've been shooting alot more concerts lately and was wondering if there are any pitfalls I should be aware with the Mark 3.

If this thread doesn't scare you off:

... then I think you would "love" the combination of high ISO/low noise and responsive focus, exposure and processing.

The Canon 1D MKIIN would also make a lot of sense for concerts.

If you can get close enough, Andy shows how the right lens can make the difference:

OMG yes sell the 1Ds if you're mostly shooting lowlight. When I went from my 1Ds to a 5D it was night and friggin day difference in shooting above ISO 200, same with the 1DmkII and the 1Ds mkII. For $2500 you could make a move over to a 1DmkII and have cash left over or a 1DmkIIn.

    Do it.
