Shot between life size and 4x -she was huge! Would have covered my hand had I been man enough to pick her up...

Hi ya John, the only thing that bothers me shooting large spiders,
is that your so concentrating on getting the eyes in focus,
you forget just how close you are to the thing........

It's kinda scary when one second the eyes are in focus and next thing the spider is not even in the viewfinder eek7.gifrolleyes1.gif

You were at least lucky enough to get the shots you did John clap.gif

    Great series ......... Skippy

Heh heh... its always a bit freaky to be looking at one of these things at 4-5x. The spider looks absolutely HUGE... then it moves like 2mm out of the frame and i'd jump cause I think its on my hand or something rolleyes1.gif

Wolf Spiders are scary looking, but they're also pretty neat. I had one that lived in a bathroom drawer back in college and I used to toss miller's in there when they'd get in my shaving mirror. What freaks me out are Sun Spiders/ Wind Scorpions.
