Surely I Can Do Better
Surely I can do better. These were taken with a 18-55mm and 7-300mm lens. I am still learning. I was told if I used a Sigma 18mm Fixed Photo Lens I would be able to get closer and produce much better results than I have shown here. I have looked everywhere for an 18mm Fixed Photo Lens and all I get back from any site is 'No Record' I would really love your comments and advice please.

This lens is light, compact and very versatile (doubles as a "normal" lens). Worked well in low light conditions at the public aquarium also.

Probably one of the best sub $300 lens purchases I ever made.
If you have more $$$ then do a search for macro lenses and you will find a few very nice lenses from Canon, Sigma and Tameron.
You can also go the "poor man's" route and pick up some extension tubes and use with your existing lenses. These will shorten your minimum focus distance and work like a (pseudo) macro lens. Might be surprised at the results. I use an extension tube on the Canon EF 200mm with excellent results.
