i am not sure if this is the right place to post this question. i just shot about 500 photos and finally found an internet cafe to check them out (i am in thailand, was in japan) and all the photos seem soft to me. is it my eyes, the monitor or ?????? below is a link with a few random photos. most were taken with my 24-105L AND MAYBE MY SIGMA 10-20.

do they look soft to you too or do i need to finally buy those bifocals? :dunno

these were all hand held shots

They look a bt soft. These are hand-held, at very slow shutter speeds, and high ISO.

For example, this one was at 1/5 sec. @ ISO 800. I know very few people that can get a sharp image at 1/5 sec. hand-held. Then, add a bit more noise due to the higher ISO, and you definetely start loosing sharpness.

Yeah, just a touch soft, but they're OK for handheld, no doubt, and those I looked over are nice captures!

I guess i didn't even realize i was shooting at such a slow speed. maybe i thought the IS would solve all. as always i need to pay a little more attention to the details. thanks for the help

They look OK on my screen, i would boost contrast on some of them. That will probably help pictures to appear sharper!

Run some noise reduction and they'll clean up a bit as well.
