One thing that hasn't been mentioned and which I feel is important about online biz is B&H is always upfront about potential delays. Right there on page one and then again in the order pages.

I, for one, am very happy with B&H. Well except there's this one item I'd like to order and it's BO'ed but there doesn't seem to be any way to "reserve" one with a deposit. I find that a bit frustrating.

I agree on this. They are one of the few who was "in stock" filter option thumb.gif

One thing that's pretty effective is that they have a notification option on out of stock items that will send you email when it arrives. So if you're quick, it works out just as well as reserving one. I did this recently with one of the new Gitzo models that's always out of stock and I managed to snag one that way. thumb.gif

Except when the item you want is in high demand. Then you can't add a notificiation.

Well, the Gitzo was in high demand. It sounds like you're trying to buy a MKIII, eh? mwink.gif

In MY day, we had to walk 5 miles, uphill, through the rain and snow to get to the camera store. And then we had to pay full retail!

    :D
In MY day we had to walk uphill BOTH WAYS!! :-)

In mine, too, Henry. These youngsters have it easy! BTW, I've purchased from B&H off and on for almost (plus or minus) 30 years. And I have always been pleased with the prompt, courteous service ... even in the days of snailmail orders when you were the new kid on the block (and the now gone Executive Photo before that)! Keep up the good work!

    And I, too, am ...

    Nope.

Strikes me as a whinge of classic proportions.
