I currently only have a "family" or standard smugmug account, but I'm thinking about purchasing the professional site. I think I've finally gotten a decent portfolio started and would love to move them to the pro site and start to get something going. (Yes I'm sure I'll have a zillion other questions... but first things first). Do most of you keep a seperate site for family and "snapshots" and then also have a pro site?? I am thinking that would be easiest for me, but of course I'm thinking about the $$. But with that question, if I did decided to drop the standard account and move everything to the pro site (I know I can password protect them), is it unprofessional and is the pricing per gallery so that family and friends don't pay extra, etc for purchasing through smugmug???
I suppose that's enough questions for now! Thanks in advance for any suggestions - advice - answers! :ivar

you can do it all on one account, no worries, if you like. Your family stuff can be private galleries, that only are seen if folks know the urls (you send them).
But to sell prints for the family, you'd have to have your prints priced at "penny-over" pricing, if you want to have portfolio pricing in place for your other professional work.
