Great shots! Which festival, was it another one of the Heineken Thirst tours? Who was there? Not that attractive young ladies are a bad thing but I was hoping for some shots of Tiesto, Oakenfold, or the like...
This was shot during Dance Valley this year, a few miles off Amsterdam.
People tend to be in a playfull mood during those festivals, so it is a paradise for me as a photographer.
I gave the toys to the girls and they played along, this guy had the sticker in his hand and asked him to transform himself as a billboard and so on...
I did quite a lot of DJ shoots, but I'm a bit tired of it. Waiting an hour backstage to have the greenlight from the stage manager wears me out....
I focused on the crowd this year, we'll see what I'll do in a couple of weeks when I'll join MysteryLand (even wilder)
As far as the pp, I push the contrast + saturation quite high in Photoshop - use a ND gradiant filter, and that's it :-)
Here is a DJ trying to compete with my Mark III ;-)
Pow!!! These are really awesome! Great processing, great composition and extremely entertaining subjects!!! I really love the sticker-head, the bubble-blower, and the alien - character with the green hair. I bet these venues are a photographer's dream.
Thanks for sharing your deceptively simple secrets! I looked through your blog and photos and you do some truly fantastic work. So you are enjoying your Mark III?
I love the MIII. The transition from my D2X was easier han I thought. There are a few things I miss from Nikon, but many other that make me very happy to own a MIII :-)
